The end of the year is the best time to start on a scrappy quilt! Empty out this year’s fabric stash with a colorful Dutch pinwheel quilt pattern made in every color of the rainbow. A new pattern from Megan Farrell, this throw quilt pattern finishes at 52 inches by 59 inches (including the 5-inch border), making an ideal size to snuggle under. This eye-catching design is a lovely way to give your home a burst of warm and friendly color on dark winter days.
Designer Notes:
- Finished block is 7″ and layout is 6 x 7. Borders are very personal, especially when making a scrappy quilt. If you are not adding borders, the finished size is 42″ x 49″. If adding a 5″ border like pictured, the finished size is 52″ x 59″.
- If making 42 scrappy blocks, with 5″ borders, the backing required is 3 1/2 yards. Binding needed is 1/2 yard.
