Jennifer Davey is an educator, designer, writer, tailor, and sewing enthusiast. She has been a guest on Sew It All TV and published in Sew News, Sew it All, Belle Amore, Crafts n’ Things, and Apronology to name a few. She works with great companies like Elna, Grace Frames, Therm o Web, Riley Blake, May Arts Ribbon, Coats and Clark, and many others.
Jennifer established Thimble Sewciety in 2019 to create opportunities to learn through simple, attainable, and useful projects. She has designed kits with all the materials needed to learn to sew, each project building and practicing essential sewing skills to develop a confident independent sewer. She teaches students from grade school to retirement and loves to light the spark of love for sewing and watch it grow. This business is a result of the philosophy Jennifer has followed for many years: Educating on using tools and materials that make sewing a joy.
A proud mother of two college kids and a high schooler, Jennifer and her family live in Central California where they enjoy easy access to all that California has to offer. She volunteers for her daughter’s marching band and winter percussion helping with costuming and sets. She enjoys learning from and with her local quilt guild members in the San Joaquin Valley Quilt Guild, where she serves as the webmaster.
