About Joy Heimark

Joy is a retired legal assistant, turned quilt pattern designer and quilt show vendor.  In about 2019, she started selling wool pressing mats to quilters and doing custom cutting for whatever size they requested.  Joy then started designing her own quilt patterns and selling them to magazines and quilting fabric lines. She enjoys playing around with her EQ program, and it’s been a lot of fun coming up with new designs and styles.  Joy has always favored log cabins and nice straight edges and corners, and is a pretty traditional quilter, but occasionally dabbles with crazier prints and non-traditional piecing ideas.  She named her company “Joy in Stitches”.  She enjoys the opportunity to be creative in retirement, and have her own shop on Etsy, which you can check out here!
