Janice Bailor is a quilt and textile artist based in central Pennsylvania. As a creative entrepreneur, she is the owner artisan behind her La Rue de Fleurs label, creating handmade, nature inspired quilts, original patterns, and soft goods for sale and exhibit since 2012. In addition to fabricating each handmade product, Janice also writes and maintains a blog, YouTube channel and social media aiming to promote her work process and inspire and inform her audience. Joining the Perry County Council on the Arts as their Drop-In Art Coordinator in 2016, she develops a monthly project roster focused on engaging families in creative activities they can do together using basic art supplies and household materials. In 2019, Janice joined the PCCA team of rostered Artists in Residence and has been diligently working to develop programs to take into area classrooms both in person and virtually ever since. When she isn’t creating for work, you can find her creating for pleasure in her home studio, dabbling in clothing construction, embroidery, mixed media, and paper arts. A lover of nature, Janice also draws large amounts of inspiration from time spent in her garden, creating with her children, home renovations, and hiking with her family and Corgi pup.
